Mr. Raleigh concentrates his practice in the areas of employment, complex corporate securities, bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Mr. Raleigh has been the lead trial attorney in several major employment and directors and officers liability cases. Mr. Raleigh has successfully litigated numerous cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful discharge claims and other related employment matters. Mr. Raleigh has conducted audits of various companies' personnel manuals and human resources practices that have prevented or eliminated a company's exposure to discrimination or other employment claims. Mr. Raleigh has also counseled many companies on implementing procedures to avoid potential employment disputes that may arise during a reduction in work force.
Mr. Raleigh has also handled a wide variety of complex litigation including representative actions under the ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, sexual harassment charges, state and federal statutes, directors and officers liability claims, lender liability claims, RICO claims, leasing claims, partnership conflicts and fraud claims.
Mr. Raleigh is the author of numerous articles and publications involving trial practice as well as being a former editor of Barrister Magazine. Mr. Raleigh has been an instructor of trial advocacy for attorneys seeking admission into the Federal Trial Bar and has extensive trial experience in the federal courts. Mr. Raleigh is an active member of the Trial Evidence Subcommittee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Raleigh is an arbitrator for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the National Futures Exchange as well as serving as a lead arbitrator on the Circuit Court of Cook County Arbitration Panel.
Mr. Raleigh is a Senior Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America.
